A Ventura County couple is stepping up to help budding entrepreneurs in the region.
Dave and Dawn Gross donated $300,000 through their NewCo Foundation to California Lutheran University’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
The money will fund an annual competition for students trying to create businesses, and support creation of a similar “Shark Tank” type event aimed at public school students.
Dave Gross is an engineer, and tech investor who has been a mentor for students at CLU. Dawn is a CLU graduate who is an internationally known expert on Braille literacy. CLU is the parent of KCLU Radio.
