(NOAA)
Storm system moves through Central and South Coasts

It was a soggy weekend for the Central and South Coasts, but the region came through the storm without serious flooding or debris flow issues.

Parts of the region had more than an inch of rain, including 1.3” of rain at KCLU’s tower on Gibraltar Peak above Montecito, and nearly 1.1” in Santa Barbara.

Solvang had an inch of rain from the storm, while Oxnard and Fillmore each record about .08” of an inch of rainfall. There’s a chance of showers in the forecast Monday through Wednesday. Then, a bigger storm is expected to arrive Thursday night, and it could mean heavy rainfall at times through Sunday.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
