Authorities are trying to figure out what led to a shooting on the South Coast which left a man seriously injured, and caused minor injuries to a seven year old girl.
The attacked happened at about 11:30 Wednesday night on Edgewood Way in Oxnard. Officers arriving on the scene found a man who appeared to have fallen, and struck his head. The 56 year old man was conscious, but didn’t know what had happened. When he was taken to a hospital, it was discovered he had been shot in the head by a bullet.
He’s reported to be in stable condition. He had been standing next to a car with a seven year old girl inside. A bullet hit the vehicle, and the girl was cut on the arm. She was treated at the scene. Police are baffled about a motive for the attack.
