The head of a non-profit organization known for helping families in need on the South Coast is retiring.
Tim Hockett is stepping down is Executive Director of Community Action of Ventura County. He’s been involved with community action organizations for nearly three decades, including the last four years as head of the agency in Ventura County.
Hockett is well known in the field, and has been involved in numerous regional and national efforts to tackle the poverty issue. He’s planning to step down in September. There’s no word yet on how he’ll be replaced.
