But, full containment of the Post Fire could still be days away.

Containment is now up to 61% on a wildfire that’s been burning since last weekend in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

The Post Fire still stands at around 15,600 acres. Firefighters were able to stop its growth early this week.

The fire is burning south of Gorman, near Interstate Five.

There’s some concern about potential flareups this weekend, with wind in the 35 mile an hour range, along with temperatures expected to be around 100 degrees. More than 1500 firefighters are still fighting the fire.
