A young man from Ventura County facing an incurable disease had a simple dream: To do what his friends are doing, and go to college.

While he can’t attend classes on a regular basis, thanks to a local university he’s getting a taste of the college experience.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco has the story, from Thousand Oaks.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
