Would You Like A Beer, Or Wine With Your Haircut?

New state law will allow beauty salons and barbershops to serve free beer and wine to customers

Would you like a free beer, or glass of wine with your next haircut, or hair styling?

It will be legal starting January 1st, thanks to a bill signed into law by the Governor.  It was authored by a state assemblyman who serves part of Ventura County.   AB 1322 allows beauty salons, and barber shops to serve clients a beer, or glass of wine without requiring a liquor license or permit.

The businesses can’t charge for the drink, they can only serve one per person, and of course the customer has to be 21 or older.

Republican Assemblyman Scott Wilk of Santa Clarita, who also serves part of eastern Ventura County, says the new law reflects what many beauty salons and barbershops are already doing, but legalizes it.
