In Wake Of Thousand Oaks Shooting, Legislator Introduces New Bill To Combat Gun Violence

In the wake of the Borderline Bar and Grill shooting which led to the deaths of a dozen people, a legislator from Ventura County introduced a new bill which tries to address some gun violence issues.

AB 12 calls for beefing up tools to limit gun ownership among people with mental health issues. It also would help fund efforts by law enforcement agencies to recover weapons.

The bill was introduced by Democratic Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin of Thousand Oaks.
