Ventura County Sheriff's Deputy Injured In Confrontation

A Ventura County Sheriff’s deputy is recovering from injuries he suffered dealing with a domestic disturbance.

The deputy was called to the 800 block of Brossard Drive Tuesday morning. Sheriff’s Department officials say as the officer was collecting information about the incident, he was attacked and injured by Omar Flores. The 21 year old man then tried to flee the scene. The deputy caught him, and Flores fought with the officer.

He was finally taken into custody with the help of other deputies, and arrested on charges of battery on a police officer, and resisting a police officer. The deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
