Ventura County Man Gets Three Year Jail Sentence For Supplying Heroin Which Led To Fatal Overdose

A Ventura County man has been sentenced to three years behind bars for involuntary manslaughter as the result of a fatal heroin overdose.

Prosecutors say Ryan Tepezano supplied Christopher Ariaz of Oxnard with the heroin which led to Ariaz’ death in 2015.

Oxnard Police detectives identified Tepezano as a suspect, and after getting search warrants raided two Oxnard homes. It led to the now 36 year old man’s arrest, and later guilty pleas to a number of drug related charges.

Prosecutors then pursued a manslaughter charge, setting the stage for Tepezano’s guilty plea.
