Authorities are trying to figure out what led to the death of a Ventura County jail inmate. Deputies at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility say they noticed Jared Morgan Ross was having a medical emergency in his cell early Sunday morning.
Deputies started emergency first aid and called jail medical staff, as well as paramedics. But, the 31 year old Ventura man was pronounced dead a short time later. An autopsy is pending.
