Ventura County Family Identified As Victims Of Oregon Plane Crash

Three members of a Thousand Oaks Family, along with the pilot of a plane have been identified as the victims of a Friday plane crash in Oregon

A trip to Oregon has ended in tragedy for a Ventura County family has ended in tragedy, after a charter plane crash killed all three members of the family, as well as the plane’s pilot.

John A. Zitting, Karen Blackmore Zitting and their son John Brendan Zitting were headed to Eugene to visit the University of Oregon.

The 17 year old Westlake High School student was interested in attending the university. The plane carrying the Thousand Oaks family crashed in a field near Harrisburg, Oregon Friday morning, but they weren’t identified as the victims of the crash until Saturday.

John Zitting was President of TruNorthe, a construction management company. The plane was piloted by Mark Gregory Aletky of Acton, who also died in the crash.
