A Ventura County community’s police chief is retiring, after nearly four decades in law enforcement.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Captain Stephen Wade is stepping down this week after 37 years in law enforcement, and three years as Moorpark’s Police Chief.
Moorpark has a contract with the county to provide its law enforcement services.
He’ll be replaced by Captain John Reilly, who’s been with the Sheriff’s Office for more than two decades. Reilly most recently served as the agency’s Public Information Officer.
