Ventura County CEO Gets Contract Extension

Ventura County’s Chief Executive Officer just got a huge vote of confidence from county leaders.

Ventura County Supervisors extended CEO Mike Powers contract for another two years.

He’s been the county’s top non-elected official since December of 2010.

His original contract has already been extended twice. The current deal was set to end in 2021, but it’s now been amended to go to March of 2023. Supervisors say Powers has done an excellent job of helping to steer the county through difficult issues like coping with the impacts of the Thomas Fire.
