UCLA Shooting Spurs Gun Violence Awareness Rally On South Coast

A coalition against gun violence in Santa Barbara held a rally Thursday to talk about the UCLA murder-suicide, and also laws to prevent guns from getting into the wrong hands.

Among those attending were Bob Weiss, who lost his daughter in the 2014 Isla Vista killing spree, where six students were shot or stabbed to death.

Weiss has been to Sacramento and Washington, D.C., to lobby for bills in response to that shooting and new regulations for safety and more background checks for those purchasing guns and ammunition.
