With the Thomas Fire now in its second week, there are several communities that are seeing crews coming and going for days.
In Santa Barbara this weekend, some firefighters with time off were able to go to Joe's Cafe and Opal Restaurant on State Street.
Several customers came forward to offer to pay for their meals, as a thank-you for their firefighting efforts.
At Joe's, one grateful customer took care of over 30 lunches and dinners.
