Two men are behind bars for what investigators believe was a gang-related murder in Ventura County.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 500 block of Avenida del Platino in Newbury Park late Thursday night over reports of shots being fired.
They found the body of David Smith of Thousand Oaks on the ground. The 19 year old had been shot to death.
Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives arrested two Thousand Oaks men Friday for the killing. Caden Crowell and Hector Delgado both face murder, and street terrorism charges. Investigators say they reccovered a gun and other evidence related to the killing.
