Two Arrested, More Than 4,000 Marijuana Plants Seized On Central Coast

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's detectives seize more than 4,000 marijuana plants in Nipomo

Two men have been arrested, and three more are still being sought in connection with a large scale marijuana growing operation discovered in some makeshift greenhouses on the Central Coast.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives say they seized more than 4,000 marijuana plants in some buildings on the 300 block of South Oakglen Avenue in Nipomo yesterday. They also found some methamphetamine and some cocaine packaged for sale, as well as a rifle.

Detectives say they arrested Tony Soto of Nipomo and Francisco Soto-Orduna of Santa Maria at the scene, but three other men escaped officers were arriving.
