Teen Arrested For Murder Of Ventura County Man

A teenager has been arrested for the murder of a man in Ventura County.

Oxnard police say they arrested the 16 year old boy for the March 19th shooting of Juan Oscar Gonzales.

Police were called to the 1000 block of West Gonzales Road that afternoon by reports of an injured man in an alley.

They found the 44 year old Oxnard man on the ground. He was taken to a hospital where he died the next day. Detectives have been working on case for nearly three months, leading to the arrest.

Investigators aren’t saying what they think led to the killing, but are calling it a “senseless” death. The teen is in custody without the possibility of bail.
