South Coast College Football Team Will Rack Up Another Win Without Having To Take Field

A South Coast college football team which is already having an outstanding year found out that it’s going to get another win later this season without even having to take the field.

California Lutheran University’s Kingsmen football team is 4-1 midway in the season, and is scheduled to host Whittier College this weekend.

The team was set to play Occidental College in Los Angeles November 4th, but the Tigers cancelled the final four games of their season. Occidental officials say injuries depleted their roster to 30 players, not enough to safely field a team for a game. The cancellation of the game means the Kingsmen will get a win due to a forfeit.

Occidental has had a football team since 1895, even defeating now football powerhouse USC early in the program’s history.
