A security guard at a South Coast courthouse has been arrested on a child abuse charge.
Simi Valley Police say Thomas Platts became involved with a teenage girl he met through a mutual acquaintance. Detectives say they received a tip about the situation, and started an investigation which led to the arrest of the 26 year old Simi Valley man.
He’s a security guard at Ventura County’s East Valley Courthouse.
Platts has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child. Investigators say they are trying to determine if there may be more victims.
