There was a little growth in Santa Barbara County's Rey wildfire overnight, but it still remains at 39% containment.
The blaze in the Los Padres National Forest has now charred more than 33,000 acres. The fire began August 18th, threatening some of the scattered homes and ranches in the Paradise Road area before pushing into wilderness areas. No structures have been reported damaged. Paradise Road, which was closed for nearly a week, reopened last night to residents. It remains closed to the general public.
The goal is still to try to have full containment of the fire by the middle of next week.
