Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office detectives are just releasing details of a daring daytime robbery inside a posh South Coast hotel’s jewelry store.

Two men entered the Silverhorn Jewelry store inside of Montecito’s Four Season’s Biltmore, and while one of them distracted a clerk, the other smashed a display case, and took $35,000 worth of Rolex watches.

The clerk tried to stop one of the men, but was shoved into a wall. The two men then fled through the hotel to a waiting car which was driven away by a female accomplice.

The rental car was later found abandoned in Ventura.

With the suspects still unidentified, investigators are now releasing photos and details of the March 29th robbery in an effort to develop new leads in the case.
