The City of Santa Barbara selected three businesses that will now be allowed to sell recreational marijuana within city limits.
Those businesses are Golden State Greens, Pharmacy SB, and Coast Dispensary.
A number of locations had been proposed for Santa Barbara's downtown area on State Street, but they met with heavy community resistance and have been rejected.
That decision comes after weeks of discussion and analysis, including input from the Santa Barbara Police Department.
There will be a public hearing at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Santa Barbara's main public library in the Faulkner gallery.
