Record Setting Temperatures Recorded On South Coast

It wasn’t just hot yesterday on the South Coast. It was record setting hot.

Three all-time records were broken in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties Sunday. A high of 92 was recorded at Camarillo Airport, breaking the former record of 85 set in 1999. The National Weather Service in Oxnard hit 90, topping the former record of 85 from 1999. And, Santa Barbara Airport also set a new record, with a high of 85, topping the 81 degree record also set in 1999.

It will be hot again today, but not as hot as yesterday, with a cooling trend underway.
