Proposal For New Convention And Conference Center On Central Coast Under Review

Could a new convention and conference center be coming to the Central Coast? An economic feasibility report is underway on the concept of building a 26 million dollar complex at the Paso Robles Event Center, which is home to the Mid-State Fair.

The proposal includes a 15,000 square foot ballroom, a half dozen meeting rooms, and other event space. The tourism industry has exploded in the area due to his wineries.

There are currently 700 hotel rooms in the area, and plans on the drawing board for up to 1400 more, which would be able to support conventions and conferences.
