Possibility Of Rain In Forecast For Central, South Coasts

The new week could bring with it some late spring rain.

A low pressure system currently over Idaho is spinning back our direction. It will lead to increasing cloud cover Monday night, and a chance of showers Tuesday.

Rainfall amounts in Ventura and Santa Barbara County could be between a tenth and a third of an inch on Tuesday.

National Weather Service meteorologists say there could be some thunderstorms, but they don’t expect them in the recent brush fire burn zones. There are no watches or warnings for flooding, or debris flow issues in the forecast for the region’s burn areas.
