An iconic music festival on the South Coast has selected a new Artistic Director.
Chad Smith, who’s Chief Operating Officer for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will take the helm of the Ojai Music Festival.
But, the change won’t happen for a few years still. Thomas Morris is the current Artistic Director, and will hold the post until after he completes his 16th season in 2019.
Smith will take over the post in 2020. He’s been with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in various capacities since 2002. He’s no stranger to the South Coast. Smith is on the Music Advisory Board for Montecito’s Music Academy of the West.
