Mud-caked sidewalks, streets and parking areas are being cleaned by residents returning to Montecito after the evacuation orders were widely lifted over the weekend following the January 9th mudflow.
Many items that washed away have been recovered and are getting back to their owners thanks to a Facebook page.
The lost items include earrings, passports, statues and suitcases with belongings. Some of the items were found all the way down at the beach.
The people who are looking for these items have been given an unusual nickname: mud angels.
