State workplace safety officials are trying to figure out exactly what led to an accident which left a worker on an aerial basket truck seriously injured on the South Coast.
It happened at about 11 a.m. yesterday, near the intersection of Mariposa and Elder Streets in Oxnard. A crane truck tipped over, hitting a basket truck which had a man onboard the basket.
The man suffered a serious head injury. His name hasn’t been released. The crews were apparently working on power lines in the area.
