Police are investigating the fifth murder in a South Coast City since the first of the year.
Oxnard Police officers were called to the intersection of San Gorgonio Avenue and Featherstone Streets at about 11 Wednesday night by reports of a shooting. They found a 22 year old man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The name of the man hasn’t been released, but investigators say he was from Oxnard.
Detectives are trying to establish the motive for the killing, and say it’s possible it was gang related.
