A man is dead following an early morning hit and run collision on the South Coast.
Ventura Police received a 911 call at around three this morning reporting someone had been hit at the intersection of Blackburn Road and Tracy Place. Officers and firefighters arriving at the scene found a man who had been apparently struck, and killed by a vehicle.
A section of Blackburn Road was closed for much of the day today for an investigation.
The name of the man hasn’t been released. An autopsy is pending.
