A man is accused of installing a hidden video camera inside of the restroom of a Santa Barbara ice cream parlor.
Santa Barbara Police say a man used a device which looked like a wall electrical outlet, but was actually a disguised video camera.
It happened at McConnell’s Ice Cream on State Street in downtown Santa Barbara.
An alert employee noticed the sudden appearance of the mystery outlet, and notified police, eventually leading to the arrest of Jason John Hanrahan. The 48 year old Santa Barbara man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge, but investigators say pending analysis of the device, more charges may be filed.
