Man Accused Of Being Serial Predator In Ventura County; Detectives Say He Preyed On Runaway Teens

Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say they’ve arrested a serial predator who preyed on runaway girls.

Investigators say Mario Gonzales Solano provided drugs, alcohol, and motel rooms to teenage runaways from the Camarillo area. They say they learned about the Thousand Oaks man after a 17 year old girl reported she had been sexually assaulted.

As they detectives looked into the case, they say they were able to find five victims, including some as young as 14.

The investigators say the crimes occurred during a nearly three year long period beginning in 2015. The 30 year old man is now facing more than a dozen charges.
