The eyes of the world turned to Ventura County today, as major television networks provided live coverage of former First Lady Nancy Reagan's funeral.
ABC, NBC, FOX, CNN, and MSNBC provided wall to wall coverage of the ceremony, as did some Los Angeles television stations.
The ceremony included reflections from two major powerhouses in the news business, Diane Sawyer and Tom Brokaw.
He talked about how as a fresh new reporter in Los Angeles in the 1960's, he was sent out to cover a long shot race for Governor by a forgotten actor named Ronald Reagan. The longtime anchor, and reporter shared stories about meeting Nancy Reagan more than a half century ago, and talked about the many lunches and visits they shared.
