Legendary Magic Castle Magic Center Opening South Coast Outlet

Fonder of Hollywood's Magic Castle planning new one in Montecito

The legendary Magic Castle is apparently coming to the South Coast.

The founder of the Hollywood landmark bought a building in Montecito with the intention of opening another Magic Castle.

The Magic Castle is a members-only clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts, which features magic shoes, memorabilia, a dining room, and multiple bars. The mysterious looking mansion was built by Milt Larson in the 1960’s.

Milt and his wife Arlene are buying a nearly 4,000 square foot restaurant space on Los Patos Way in Montecito for the new Magic Castle. It’s currently the home of the Montecito Events Center. The Hays Commercial Group handled the sale. Plans call for the events center to stay in operation for the near future while the transition is planned.
