The latest unemployment numbers show no month to month change statewide, but there are dips on the Central and South Coasts.
The state’s jobless rate was 5.1% in September, the same as it was in August.
But, in Ventura County, the percentage of people out of work dipped from 5.3% in August to 4.7% in September. Santa Barbara County showed a month to month drop from 4.6% to 4.1%. San Luis Obispo County had the lowest jobless numbers in the region, going from 4.3% in August to 3.6% in September.
