A vehicle with five people inside crashed over the side of a windy hillside road Monday night, killing two passengers and injuring three others.
The crash took place at around 9:30 on Gibraltar Road above Santa Barbara.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause.
First responders found the vehicle about 300 feet over the side, with two dead and one in critical condition. The other two passengers had moderate and minor injuries.
Fire, search and rescue, AMR and a rescue helicopter were all called.
The identities of those involved in the crash have not been released.
