A free summer film festival series on the South Coast kicks off this week.
It’s become a South Coast tradition. UCSB’s Arts and Lectures has offered a free summer slate of films built around a specific theme for close to a decade.
This year’s series is called “Animated Nights,” and kicks off with a Friday night event at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Gardens.
After Friday night’s premiere, the series will continue through the summer with Wednesday night screenings at UCSB’s Campbell Hall, and Friday night showing at the courthouse. The free series includes movies like “The Iron Giant” and “Loving Vincent.” https://artsandlectures.ucsb.edu/Details.aspx?PerfNum=3861
