Four Arrested After Credit Card Skimmers Found At South Coast Gas Station

Four men were arrested after detectives say they put credit card skimmers on pumps at a Ventura County gas station.

The station on the 4000 block of Adolfo Road in Camarillo was closed just before 12 a.m. Friday when the owner happened to check his remote surveillance cameras, and saw some men tampering with the fuel pumps.

He called Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies, who stopped the four San Fernando Valley men at the scene, and later arrested them. Detectives found credit card skimming devices in the pumps.

Investigators checked other gas stations in the area, but no other signs of tampering were found. They say you should never use a gas station pump which appears to have been tampered with, and ideally do transactions inside the station.
