Former Secretary Of State To Speak On South Coast; Kickoff For New CLU Center

The first African-American woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of State is going to speak in Ventura County.

Condoleezza Rice will appear at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks May 4th.

Besides serving as Secretary of State, she was National Security Adviser for President George W. Bush. Rice will kick off the new Gallegly Center Distinguished Speaker Series, named after former Ventura County Congressman Elton Gallegly.

It’s open to the public, with tickets available through CLU.

CLU is the parent of KCLU radio.
