Firefighters Making Progress On 300+ Acre Brush Fire In Santa Barbara County

An air tanker making a drop on what's being called the Ensalada Fire, on Vandenberg Air Force Base.

Firefighters say they are making progress towards containing a 300 acre plus brush fire on the Central Coast.

The fire was discovered Friday morning on the north side of Vandenberg Air Force Base.  No structures have been reported damaged.  Base firefighters aided by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department report that as of 1 p.m. Friday, they had 20% containment.

There's no word on what caused the fire, which is being called the Ensalada Fire.
