Fire Hits South Coast Senior Housing Complex; Six Injured

Six people were injured when a fire hit a senior apartment complex on the South Coast Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported just after 8:30 a.m., on the 300 block of North F Street in Oxnard.  Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from one of the ground level units of the five story complex.  The building's fire sprinklers had been activated, and firefighters were able to knock down the fire in minutes.

About 70 people were evacuated.  All six injuries were reported to be minor.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
