Famous South Coast Resort Reopening After Nearly Year Closure Due To Montecito Debris Flow

A world famous South Coast resort which was heavily damaged by the deadly Montecito debris flow in January is reopening its doors to visitors for the first time. The San Ysidro Ranch is beginning limited operations including overnight guests in its rustic cottages, and dining at its restaurant.

The Stonehouse is open for private dining events and will be open for public holiday brunches on December 22, 23, 29, and 30.

The Ranch is well known as a getaway for the rich and famous, and was where President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie honeymooned.  Famed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill boasted he couldn’t imagine spending the winter months anywhere else after staying at the ranch.
