Economic Forecast Predicts Stable Growth For Santa Barbara County

The UC Santa Barbara Economic Forecast is showing indicators that local planners may be interested in for upcoming decisions.

The forecast was presented in an open session this week.

In Santa Barbara county, growth remains stable at less than one percent.

The north county profile shows a stronger Latino population.

In the environment segment, the forecast director said that the highest personal water use was in Montecito and Santa Ynez.

The report also shows that 83% of North County families in poverty have children.
