Earthquake Rattles Parts Of South Coast

An earthquake rattled parts of the South Coast Saturday night, but no injuries or damage was reported.

The magnitude 3.8 quake happened at 5:31 p.m.  it was centered in the ocean about nine miles west of Isla Vista. 

There have been a series of small quakes centered in that area over the last few years.
