Death Of South Coast Man Now Being Called A Homicide

It started out as a report of trespassing on the South Coast. But, police arriving at an Oxnard apartment discovered the body of a man who had been shot to death under what appeared to be suspicious circumstances.

After a three month long investigation, Oxnard Police are now calling the death of 24 year old Billy Navarro a homicide. Detectives aren’t talking about what they think happened, but say he was a former resident of the apartment on the 300 block of West Vineyard Avenue where his body was found July 3rd.
