Dallas Cowboys Back In Ventura County For Summer Training Camp

The Los Angeles Rams are based in Ventura County, but for the next few weeks, the county will once again be hosting a second NFL team. The Dallas Cowboys are holding their summer training camp in Oxnard.

At an opening news conference Wednesday, one of the biggest things to come out of it was owner Jerry Jones reaffirming his position on the controversy over whether NFL players should be required to stand for the national anthem.

Jones says he can’t speak for other owners, or the NFL, but he expects his players to be on the field and standing.

The issue has been a hot one with some players taking a knee to protest social issues.

The Cowboys have their first workout tomorrow, with more than 15 sessions between now and when they break camp August 17th. Most practices are open to the public.
