Investigators are still trying to unravel what led to a man hitting several vehicles, and a CHP officer in Ventura County.

The incident started at about seven Thursday night, when a car hit some vehicles in a Camarillo neighborhood. CHP officers say the 18 year old driver left the scene and then returned, and apparently then tried to hit his parents.

The driver then got onto southbound Highway 101, causing a chain reaction crash on the Conejo Grade near the truck scales. A CHP officer suffered minor injuries. Traffic on the southbound side of the highway was disrupted for about five hours. The young man was arrested on multiple charges.
