Children's Museum Project On South Coast Gets Grant

A project to build a new children’s museum on the South Coast is picking up steam.

The non-profit group KidSTREAM just received a $50,000 grant from the Camarillo Hotel & Tourism Association.   KidSTREAM is planning to convert the City of Camarillo’s old library complex on the 3100 block of Ponderosa Drive into its museum.

The non-profit group is planning to covert the 17,000 square foot facility into a kids museum.

KidSTREAM has already been doing a number of educational events in the community, operating as a museum without walls.  Efforts are underway to raise $15 million dollars for the museum, with plans calling for it to open in 2021.
